Yoga Tantra Flow

A powerful, fluid and challenging vinyasa flow integrating the energetics of Tantra. With an emphasis on the cultivation of Prana/ Shakti (life force and creative energy), awareness, pranayama (breath) and bandhas (energy locks) in the postures. Allowing you to access your inner strength, fluidity and core energy with playfulness. Embodying the flow and stepping into the fire of your own life.

It is at the confluence of three main rivers:
Prana Flow, Tantra Yoga and Ayurveda

1. Prana Flow

It is an energetic, creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of Yoga created and cultivated by Shiva Rea.
Isabelle received with gratefulness this evolutionary method of embodied transformation and radiant health from Shiva Rea, a wonderful friend, her inspired and creative teacher.

2. Tantra Yoga

It is the most ancient and comprehensive Yoga Tradition which encompasses so many paths such as Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana YogA, Mantra Yoga, Ayurveda, Nada Yoga, Nyasa, Kriya Yoga, Kundalini- Shakti yoga and many more.
One of the meaning of Tantra comes from the Sanskrit roots “Tan”: to stretch and “Tra”: to its fullest. Tantra means TO STRETCH BEYOND ALL BOUNDARIES. Tantra also means SCIENCE or TECHNIQUE. Tantra also referred to the ancient practice of weaving fabric. Implying that it is the weaving of spiritual energy into the fabric of daily life. SIMPLE THINGS BECOME PROFOUND.
Oneness of the body, mind and soul creates an inclusiveness, a prerequisite for Tantra’ s non dualistic approach. Seeing all things as one which correlates to quantum physics theory of the unified field of energy.
Tantra also conveys our inner self evolution and transformation in terms of energetics with our subtle body being composed of nadis (72,000 energy channels), energy vortexes (7 main chakras), energy layers of consciousness (5 koshas) and energetic forces (5 main prana vayus) including our electromagnetic field.
AS WE ARE ACCESSING, AWAKENING AND RAISING OUR CREATIVE DORMANT POWER OR SHAKTI, WE BECOME MORE ALIVE, AWARE AND CONSCIOUS. WE BECOME THE CO-CREATOR OF OUR DESTINY.

Isabelle was initiated into ISHTA Tantra lineage by Kavi Mani Finger and into the Himalayan Masters lineage by Pandit Rajmani Tigunait. She also studies with Swami Shankardev from the Bihar school, Daniel Odier and Paul Muller Ortega in the Kashmir Shivaism traditions.
Isabelle is so grateful to all those great masters for their transmission and knowledge.

3. Ayurveda

Ayurveda means the science or knowledge (“Veda”) of life (“Ayur”). It is the sister sience of Yoga.
According to David Frawley: “ Ayurveda is the Vedic science of healing for body and mind. Yoga is the Vedic science of self-realization. Both disciplines were developed together.” Ayurveda provides the foundation principles for CULTIVATING A RADIANT HEALTH AND ALIGNING OUR LIFE TO NATURE’S RHYTHMS AND CYCLES. It is concerned with what we eat, what we think and what we do. Ayurveda provides PURIFICATION, REJUVENATION and SELF –HEALING on those 3 levels: our diet composed of our food and impressions through our 5 senses, our thoughts (our mental conscious and unconscious landscape) and our actions.
Ayurveda allows us to live harmoniously with great love and respect for all beings and the universe.

Isabelle studied Ayurveda during her Para Yoga teacher trainings with Rod Stryker and Dr Vijaya Stern and in her ongoing reading. She also integrates it in her daily living routine and in the Yoga sequencing of her classes.

Pre and Post Natal Yoga

Isabelle accompanies the pre and post natal women with their babies like a river guide during this amazing life-giving adventure. She listens and gears the Yoga sequences towards their individual specific needs. She creates a space of relaxation, strengthening and rejuvenation for the mother as well as connectedness with their babies. Her pre/ post natal Yoga classes emphasize being present “here and now” through the breath, body sensations and feelings. The energetics of Tantra are infused into the vinyasa flows with pelvic floor awareness, visualizations and chanting. We emphasize the hip and heart openers, the lower back, strong standing poses flows and grounding seated postures ending with a long shavasana/ relaxation. Stability, flexibility and vitality are enhanced.

For the pre and postnatal women, each class is an opportunity to slow down, connect to themselves and their babies as well as building a community of friends. They feel vibrant, energized and centered. This is an excellent preparation for birthing through breath/ body awareness and guided meditations.
